getLeaderSchedule: Returns the leader schedule for an epoch: each validator identity mapped to the slot indexes it leads, counted from the first slot of that epoch. Without a slot argument it returns the current epoch's schedule. getLeaderSchedule reference →

getSlotLeader: Returns the identity public key of the leader of the current slot. getSlotLeader reference →

getSlotLeaders: Returns the leaders for a range of slots, given a start slot and a limit between 1 and 5,000. getSlotLeaders reference →

Applies to: Solana

Endpoint and plans: Solana RPC endpoint.

In more detail

Because the schedule is known in advance, an RPC node forwards a submitted transaction directly to the current and next leaders instead of to a mempool. getLeaderSchedule returns the schedule and getSlotLeader the leader of the current slot.
