Stake-weighted QoS (SWQoS)

Last updated:

Applies to: Solana

Endpoint and plans: Solana RPC endpoint.

In more detail

A validator's stake sets its share of the packets it may transmit to the leader: Solana's guide gives the example of a validator with 1% stake having the right to transmit up to 1% of the packets. RPC nodes can use that capacity by peering with validators, under agreements made directly between the operators. It improves a transaction's path to the leader. It does not replace a priority fee or a valid blockhash, and it does not guarantee inclusion.
